Staying Alive, the story about my healing from cancer has been translated into Italian and Slovakian.
My books and my husband’s books are available on Amazon.com and Kindle. They are free to access on irishprophet.com.
The Grapes are Worth It is the story of our early marriage and rearing our children. My books are testimoney to God’s power to forgive, heal and restore.
Good morning everyone near and far away, especially in Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
Has God given you a promise? Are you familiar with prophecy? God wants to show His love to us and to show he cares and has life for us on the earth and in heaven. Life can change for you here and now.
I read the Bible and I hold on to what the word of God says. For example on page 1 it says increase and multiply and fill the earth. I believe in prophecy. It is from prophetic words I believed and hoped in that I am alive. It is from prophetic words and dreams God guided Brendan and I through the storms of life.
Men of old believed what God promised them. Abraham received the promise of a son. He was 100 years old when the son was born. Joseph had a dream his family would bow down to him. The dream came through after many testing times of being a slave and being in prison. David became a King after being chased from his country and lived in caves.
Believing for the promises God gives takes patience and endurance. God sends encouragement along the way to help us not to give up. I had cancer and was giving up hope of God answering my prayers. But God is faithful. He kept his promises to me. I am alive. I have since seen promises come to me but there are more promises to be fulfilled.
I’m watching programmes on iplayer about trawlermen. They are fishermen. They go out in bad weather and expect to catch fish and bring the bounty of the deep home. They don’t give up. They have faith to catch the fish they believe are there.
I am learning from them. I was reading Hebrews 6 v 19 NLV Believing in God’s promise is like an anchor that keeps the soul through the storms of life that try to abort one’s promise. Remain anchored in faith in Jesus. He is attached to your anchor. He is with you till you come to safe grounds.
I am very encouraged by Hebrews 6 v 19 today. I am anchored in God. I will see His promises come to me in this life on the earth. I shall not die. I shall live and proclaim the Word of God.
On September 8th 2022 Elizabeth 11 Queen of England and the Commonwealth died. Then followed ten days of mourning. People showed their love and respect to their Queen by lining the streets as her coffin passed through Scotland and London. Her coffin lay in State in Westminster Hall. It is said 260,000 passed by her coffin. Two million people lined the streets of London to watch the final journey from Westminster Abbey to Windsor.
Two thousand people were invited to attend the funeral service in Westminster Abbey. World leaders, foreign royalty, dignitaries, religious leaders, the Royal family, former prime ministers were to attend. 200 people who were listed in the recent Queen’s honours list were invited. Other invitations were sent to people who worked in a voluntarty capacity in organisations. .
My daughter Nora was in shock when she received an email on the tenth of September inviting her to attend the Queen’s funeral. How come? Nora worked in a voluntary capacity as Chair of the Museums in Belfast.
Nora booked her flights to attend and waited for the letter with the official invitation. She was nervous all week wondering “Is this real.” The awaited letter arrived on Saturday. We were on holiday while all this excitement was going on back home.
She shared the news with her sister Ruth who affirmed her and reassured her it wasn’t fake news. She arranged accommodation for her in London
The Archbishop of Westminster gave a brief speech at the funeral. The late Queen wanted it to be said before everyone viewing that she was a believer in Jesus.
He stated “Her Late Majesty famously declared on a 21st birthday broadcast that her whole life would be dedicated to serving the Nation and Commonwealth. Rarely has such a promise been so well kept! Jesus – who in our reading does not tell his disciples how to follow, but who – said: “I am the way, the truth and the life”. Her Late Majesty’s example was not set through her position or her ambition, but through whom she followed.”
My daughter too is a follower of Jesus. Jesus is the King of kings. When Pilate asked Jesus was he King of the Jews He did not deny it. Jesus told the religious leaders who accused him “. In the future you will see the Son of man seated in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Jesus is now reigning in heaven over all rule, authority, power and dominion .
Nora knows Gods love and care for her with the honor of being seated with kings and princes from the nations. Scripture says in Psalm113,
He lifts the poor and seats them with princes in the land.
We are a family from humble beginnings. We are all honoured when Nora, one of us was invited to attend such an historical event as the Queen’s funeral in 2022.
God is good all the time. He is faithful from generation to generation. Many people say why did God do this to me? Or why is there trouble everywhere? It is not God our Heavenly Father who brings evil on the earth.
It is the god of this world Satan, who brings trouble, death, disease and sin. The good news Jesus died on the Ctoss and has defeated Satan. He took the keys of death and hell from Satan. You don’t have to live like hell on earth anymore. Believe in Jesus. Bow down to him and make him Lord in your life.
The god of this world Satan is the one who causes tragedy in people’s lives. He comes to rob, steal and destroy but Jesus came so we would have life abundantly.
No matter what is your distress or anxiety hope in the goodness of God. Hope is the opposite of despair. He will turn up for those who wait for him.
God is worthy to be thanked and praised as we receive his goodness.
Here is a testimony about what the living God has done for a family in Slovakia.
I was invited to speak about having fourteen children and how God healed me of Cancer to children in a school in Trnava, Slovakia. The children were aged from fourteen years to eighteen years old.
It was a bit formidable at first standing before a crowd of children and their teachers. I remembered that over the years I had to interact with my own teenage boys and girls just like the audience before me.
When I told them I had fourteen children I got their attention. I went on to tell them about my family, my children just like them, praying for me to be healed of cancer. Jesus said to pray to the Father in his name and the Father would answer their prayers.
“Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. (John 16:23 NIV)
I encouraged them to help and pray for their parents just like my children did for me. I blessed the school children and gave them a copy of my book Staying Alive.
Six young people stayed behind and asked me to pray for them. One of the young ladies began to cry. She told me her mother was going into hospital the next day for an operation for Cancer. I prayed for her mother and asked the Father in Jesus name to heal her just as he had healed me.
Two months later I received an email from the young lady. She told me her mother was pregnant and the doctors could not believe it. When one has cancer and undergoes treatment one of the side effects is infertility. The doctors warned her there could be abnormality with the child. A healthy strong baby boy was born some months later.
The mother went for tests to check for cancer later. She got the all clear. The doctors were amazed. This mother is enjoying life with her new baby boy. Jesus promises to give us life and give it more abundantly.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10 KJV)
I tell this story to give Glory to God who is healing people today. Jesus, when he was on Earth healed people of all diseases. As God has comforted me and my family, he wants to do the same for others.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; (2 Corinthians 1:3 KJV) who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. (2 Corinthians 1:4 NIV)
People often ask why I quote the scriptures. I believe the scriptures are the inspired word of God and I repeat what God says. I give testiment to the fulfilment of what God has said. His word promises that he will answer our prayers to heal and he does. It is not in my power this lady was healed. It was through the power of the name of Jesus.
What God, the Creator of the Universe has done for me and this lady from Trnava, he can do for you.
Today is Rosh HaShanah. The day that marks the beginning of the Jewish New year.
As tradition goes in these first days the people of Israel are called to reflect on their lives, the good and the bad. On another day Yum Kippur, people fast and resolve to thank and praise God and return to follow him.
We are living in the prophecy that God promised the Jews would return to their own land. Where there had been desert land for 2000 years is now flourishing with cities, roads, railway networks and farms growing fruit and provisions. Children are once again playing in the streets and old people walking with canes. God is true to his promises.
I think it is a good idea to take time to remember how God has been faithful to me. I believe in God whom the Jews put their hope in, the creator of the heavens and the earth, and who gave his commandments to Moses. They are waiting for a Messiah.
Like Moses and Nehemiah I return to God and ask forgiveness for my sins and the sins of my forefathers so the next generations after me will be blessed. I am not an island. What I do will reflect on my children after me for good or bad.
Moses led the people of Israel out of 400 years of bondage in Egypt. Nehemiah led the people of Israel back to Jerusalem to restore the temple after seventy years in exile. He acknowledged before God that his forefathers had failed to obey God and they were sent into exile because of their disobedience.
I believe in Jesus the Messiah who came 2000 years ago. Through Jesus I have hope for the future and forgiveness for the past. I have a new beginning. The Shofar is blown on Rosh HaShanah a reminder that the people can have a new beginning.
If religion, work, family and friends have failed you there is still hope. His name is Jesus. Call on His name and follow him. He is the Hope of the world. Enjoy a new beginning. He will remember your failings no more. He will be with you and never leave you.
I think It is a good time to reflect on the past on your own and with your family. Resolve to obey God in the future. You can make a big change for good for blessing and not cursing.
Jackie Mc Arthur has written a song called “Healing is the Children’s bread.” Matthew 15 v 9. Jesus fed the five thousand from some loaves of bread and a few fish.
If you believe in Jesus you are a child of God. It’s God’s will that you receive healing because Jesus paid for it by shedding his Blood on the cross when he died. It is a free gift.
Brendan and I gave out EEC meat and butter many years ago. Crowds came to receive it. The government wanted it distributed to the people and we helped get it out. Like the crowds that Jesus fed, people came for the food.
Jesus is offering food to us that is s gift. If we eat it we will have healing and eternal life. If someone gives you a gift it would offend the giver if you didn’t receive the gift. Jesus offers us the free gift of healing. Believe and receive His healing. By the Stripes of Jesus you are healed. Don’t let unbelief, fear and doubt stop you from receiving.
Bread is a basic food. We need it to survive. Healing from Jesus is basic food for your soul and body. Jesus said He was the bread of life. If we come to him we will not hunger.
The Word of God is bread. If you take a little portion every day you will be fed, body soul and spirit. If a doctor prescribes medicine for you to take for a week to make you better you will believe him and take your medicine.
I recommend reading the scriptures every day. I try to read the scriptures daily . It was medicine to me for healing from cancer and continues to help me stay alive.
Job 28 v 25 But do people know where to find wisdom? Where can they find understanding? It is hidden from the eyes of all humanity. Even the sharp-eyed birds in the sky cannot discover it.’ God alone understands the way to wisdom; he knows where it can be found, for he looks throughout the whole earth and sees everything under the heavens. He decided how hard the winds should blow and how much rain should fall. He made the laws for the rain and laid out a path for the lightning. Then he saw wisdom and evaluated it. He set it in place and examined it thoroughly. And this is what he says to all humanity: ‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’”
It was a beautiful warm morning. Brendan and I went for a drive to Newcastle Co Down on Sunday last. We stopped at Dundrum market along the way. I remembered many days bringing our children there, walking around the stall holders and stopping for a chat. We ended the morning with sausages and chips. It was good to be back. Corona virus closed down the market for two years.
I met a man later in the day called Gordon. Brendan told him I was healed of cancer twelve years ago. He responded to say he had cancer eleven years ago. I wanted to hear more.
He was in hospital for tests. The doctor told him he had third stage throat cancer. He had a tumour the size of a walnut. The doctors said it was too difficult to operate. When Gordon heard what the doctors said he didn’t panic. He began to consider his situation. He wasn’t ready to die. He wanted to live but the doctor’s forecast was grim.
Gordon had been a preacher of the gospel in his youth. In his work place he found young men would come to him for advice. He would always be there to listen to their troubles and encourage them over their difficulties . He would nudge them towards Jesus.
Now he was in trouble. In Psalm 91 God’s Word promises He will be with you in trouble. With long life will I satisfy you. God reached down to Gordon in his hour of distress.
In the next weeks the tumour grew to the size of an orange. The doctors decided to operate even though there was a risk of interfering with important arteries to the brain. They removed the tumour.
Gordon showed me a photo taken after the operation. There were two long lines of staples across the side of his neck like the photo below. I looked for the scars. His wounds had healed and were barely visible. He endured further treatments in hospital. He had the will to live. Eleven years on he is healed of cancer. Because Gordon helped others in their troubles God reached down and helped him in his trouble.
I thought of the scripture, By his stripes you are healed. Jesus shed his blood from his wounds so our wounds can be healed. If we believe in the great physician we will be healed.
Gordon continues to have a listening ear to young men. He doesn’t condemn but helps each one practically and perhaps says a quiet prayer for them. God is faithful. As we live for Him he cares for us.
God not only died to forgive our sins, he heals and restores our lives. He helps us to live again despite despair and hardship. There is no other God who is merciful. He is worthy to be praised. Amen.
I would need to go back again to Israel. The first time there I was overwhelmed just walking where Jesus walked! You definitely read your Bible differently after being in Israel. Everything came to life, I loved it!
I had a clot in my leg before I went which used to ‘pop’ and a fountain of blood went everywhere. Our pastor ( Myself along with Pastor David Hamilton originally from The Ulster Temple, now U.T. ), and other friends used to meet for prayer and witnessed the clot ‘popping’ one morning. While having my quiet time with the Lord at my prayer station ( kitchen table) one morning I believe The Lord told me I would be healed in Israel.
While swimming in the Sea of Galilee I noticed the covering I had on my leg where the clot was, floating past me. I got out of the water to check my leg, and Hallelujah the little ‘hole’ where the blood’exploded’ was covered with a little layer of ‘silvery’ skin🙌🏻 Between crying, rejoicing and praising our miracle working God who keeps His promises I was healed🙌🏻
Sorry so long a story, but just want all who go to Israel go expecting as you will not be the same when your pilgrimage is over, It’s life changing spirituality. Go expecting and receive all He has for you,
We sensed The Lord smiling over us because we came and sowed into this beautiful land. God bless you all.🙌🏻🙏🏻
