Rosh HaShanah

Today is Rosh HaShanah. The day that marks the beginning of the Jewish New year.

As tradition goes in these first days the people of Israel are called to reflect on their lives, the good and the bad. On another day Yum Kippur, people fast and resolve to thank and praise God and return to follow him.

We are living in the prophecy that God promised the Jews would return to their own land. Where there had been desert land for 2000 years is now flourishing with cities, roads, railway networks and farms growing fruit and provisions. Children are once again playing in the streets and old people walking with canes. God is true to his promises.

I think it is a good idea to take time to remember how God has been faithful to me. I believe in God whom the Jews put their hope in, the creator of the heavens and the earth, and who gave his commandments to Moses. They are waiting for a Messiah.

Like Moses and Nehemiah I return to God and ask forgiveness for my sins and the sins of my forefathers so the next generations after me will be blessed. I am not an island. What I do will reflect on my children after me for good or bad.

Moses led the people of Israel out of 400 years of bondage in Egypt. Nehemiah led the people of Israel back to Jerusalem to restore the temple after seventy years in exile. He acknowledged before God that his forefathers had failed to obey God and they were sent into exile because of their disobedience.

I believe in Jesus the Messiah who came 2000 years ago. Through Jesus I have hope for the future and forgiveness for the past. I have a new beginning. The Shofar is blown on Rosh HaShanah a reminder that the people can have a new beginning.

If religion, work, family and friends have failed you there is still hope. His name is Jesus. Call on His name and follow him. He is the Hope of the world. Enjoy a new beginning. He will remember your failings no more. He will be with you and never leave you.

I think It is a good time to reflect on the past on your own and with your family. Resolve to obey God in the future. You can make a big change for good for blessing and not cursing.

Healing is the Children’s Bread

Jackie Mc Arthur has written a song called “Healing is the Children’s bread.”
Matthew 15 v 9. Jesus fed the five thousand from some loaves of bread and a few fish.

If you believe in Jesus you are a child of God. It’s God’s will that you receive healing because Jesus paid for it by shedding his Blood on the cross when he died. It is a free gift.

Brendan and I gave out EEC meat and butter many years ago. Crowds came to receive it. The government wanted it distributed to the people and we helped get it out. Like the crowds that Jesus fed, people came for the food.

Jesus is offering food to us that is s gift. If we eat it we will have healing and eternal life. If someone gives you a gift it would offend the giver if you didn’t receive the gift. Jesus offers us the free gift of healing. Believe and receive His healing. By the Stripes of Jesus you are healed. Don’t let unbelief, fear and doubt stop you from receiving.

Bread is a basic food. We need it to survive. Healing from Jesus is basic food for your soul and body. Jesus said He was the bread of life. If we come to him we will not hunger.

The Word of God is bread. If you take a little portion every day you will be fed, body soul and spirit. If a doctor prescribes medicine for you to take for a week to make you better you will believe him and take your medicine.

I recommend reading the scriptures every day. I try to read the scriptures daily . It was medicine to me for healing from cancer and continues to help me stay alive.

How to Access my New Book, The Grapes are Worth It.

http://www.irishprophet.com.

If you look up my husband’s website, as above, you will find my book The Grapes are Worth there. I wrote the bare bones of my story and Brendan who is a gifted writer, added the flesh.

it is a testimony of how God helped my husband Brendan and myself in our life together and how He helped us raise fourteen children.

God rewarded my Faith in Him. I believe in what His Word, the Bible says. John”s gospel says The Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us. This is Jesus who was born, lived in a family like us, healed and delivered anyone who came to him, and died a cruel death on the Cross.

I availed of this historical fact. Jesus body did not stay in the grave. And he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans’ v 4

When I believed in Jesus I received the blessings He won for me by His death on the cross. Forgiveness of sins, healing of diseases, deliverance from demons, and restoration of relationships and the promise of eternal life.

Our marriage would have ended because of our life style of rebellion. I turned to God because I wanted my marriage to survive and raise my two children. God turned my life around from cursing to blessing. Deuteronomy 28. Leviticus 26
