Healing after Forgveness

I was reading a message on a praying What’s App group. It is an article on unforgiveness from a book written by June Newman Davies.

She writes “Firstly one needs to forgive from your heart anyone who has hurt you. Secondly one asks God to forgive the person who hurt you for what he did. Thirdly, ask God to forgive the one who is hurt and remove any unforgiveness.” I agree with what June writes.

In the prayer Jesus taught his disciples he said “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” Jesus went on to his death to demonstrate what he was saying. He interceded with the Father to forgive us because we don’t know what we are doing.

Jesus died on the cross from his wounds. Every drop of blood trickled down from his head, his hands and his feet onto the clay of the earth. He said “Forgive them for they know not what they do.” Jesus released forgiveness to us, who are created from the clay of the earth.

When one knows the forgiveness of Jesus from one’s sins then Jesus asks us to forgive others. By forgiving someone who has hurt us we release ourselves from a spirit of unforgiveness, bitterness and resentment.

“Scientists” quotes Anne, “Show 98 per cent of diseases come from hurts one holds onto, caused by what others have said or done to us. These attitudes cause evil spirits to form a spirit of inforgiveness which causes a root of bitterness to grow up.”

I agree with Anne. I know the result of unforgiveness is disease. I had bitterness against others who hurt me. As I forgave them the cancer disappeared and I was healed from fourth stage cancer.

In 2 Corinthians verse 3 Paiul says, “We are human, but we don’t wage war with human plans and methods. We use God’s mighty weapons to knock down the devil’s strongholds. “

The devil takes advantage of any unforgiveness . If not released from this spirit other spirits come in bringing, anger, hatred and vengeance. These affect our blood. Our immune system is weakened. Diseases like, cancer, insomnia, diabetes, arthritis and others follow.

The good news is Jesus came to destroy the work of the devil. The Blood of Jesus and the name of Jesus are my weapons of warfare. I apply the blood of Jesus to every sin and sickness. The devil flees before the name and the power of the Blood of Jesus and healing follows.

Are you suffering today from disease. Receive the divine healing of Jesus by forgiving others.

Is New Year in September

It’s the first of September today. The Jewish new year starts around this time. The tradition is to look back on the past year with thanks to God and reflection on what didn’t go well. They look forward to a new year with no regrets and learn from their failings. They leave their burdens with The Lord, and enter into the new year with hope.

I agree with this outlook. Often we are weighed down with guilt and despair with ongoing problems not changing. We go to a counsellor. Our problems are regurgitated, and poured out to someone who is paid to listen. The failings are stamped deeper in one’s brain. They will resurface again in times of loneliness of stress.

We live in an age when mental illness is rife. Waiting rooms in hospitals are filled with distressed people, physically and emotionally, waiting for hours to be seen by a doctor.

Why not spend thirty minutes to an hour in a Church. It will be more fruitful than ten hours in a hospital waiting room or weeks attending a counsellor.

God promises to be with His people. Where two or three are gathered He is present. You may meet someone there to share your problems with. It will not cost any money. When we tell our failings to God like the Jews God forgives and doesn’t remember them any more. The problem can be one doesn’t forgive oneself and chews over the situation.

Have this mentality. Release the ingrained thoughts of failures and remember them no more. God doesn’t remember them so why should you.

Happy New Year

Ask the Birds of the Air

I continue to distribute my book “Look at the Birds”. If you haven’t got a copy download from Kindle Amazon.co.uk If you are a mobile phone person, having a copy on kindle is easy to access when you have a minute to spare. I can quickly read a book on kindle.

I am encouraged after reading from Job yesterday.

Job 12 v 7

Ask the animals and they will teach you.
Ask the birds of the sky and they will tell you.
Speak to the earth and it will instruct you. Let the fish of the sea speak to you.
For the life of every living thing is in His (The Lord) hand.

Two dolphin have been swimming in Strangford Lough these last few months. They appear near the ferry on the Strangford side.

Their appearance is attracting many visitors. The dolphin are responding to all the attention. They jump and twirl in the water.

My son told me he has noticed the dolphin are attracted by music he plays in his vehicle. My grandchildren are delighted. They get to swim with the dolphins nearby in Strangford Lough.

Do Not Doubt

Do not Doubt that Jesus died and is alive today to heal you.

Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

You may not see Jesus but blessed are you who believe yet have not seen.

It is said that Thomas later went to India. His influence can be seen in Kerala the most Christian state in all of India.

Today Jesus will meet you where you don’t believe. Ask him to reveal himself to you again. Thomas did believe in Jesus before. But had turned away because Jesus had left. If you once believed in Jesus return and Jesus will bring you forward.

Update on Sea Gulls

Up date on Baby Gulls.

A Sea Gull and two chicks have been on our chimney stack for some weeks now. We have got used to the mother’s calls and flurries overhead when we go to our car. I hear the whistles of her young from my workshop window.

Last week when I returned from shopping, in my neighbours front path a young sea gull was sheltering. It had mottled feathers, a sharp black beak and black feet. It tried to walk away balanced by his broad wings. But it limped. One of its legs was injured. Our neighbour asked advice from the RSPB. There was no answer. Her son lifted the bird and returned it to the mother out his skylight window.

I was visiting my elderly neighbour, Elizabeth on Sunday. I brought her a bunch of sweet pea. I heard she had family visiting on Monday. Brendan has grown sweet pea in our garden after he heard that Elizabeth’s father used to bring her sweet pea every week.

Next day she called Brendan and I to see her display of sweet pea on her piano. She was overwhelmed by the bunch of flowers. She said yesterday was the 72 anniversary of her father’s funeral which left from her home. We did not know that.

While sitting in her living room I heard noises coming from her blocked up fireplace. Elizabeth said she heard a few noises but thought it was movement from our living room. We thought a baby seagull may be behind there.

Her visitor was arriving any minute. What was an eighty three year old lady to do with a bird in her front room fireplace? It was closed up for fifty years! She didn’t relish the thought of soot all over her carpet or a black seabird flying round her room if released.

She waited to ring RSPB after her relatives left. She made a phone call, was through to an answering machine , advising her to beware of bird flu if you touch a seagull. They were noone to help. The machine operated voice advised her to call the RSPA. Again no help .

Next morning Brendan and I came to the rescue. Bird flu or not that bird needed rescued now from the trap. How long was it there? Was it still alive? Psalm 91 v 3 says the Lord releases us from the fowler’s snare. The bird would die if we didn’t help it.

How often does one get trapped in life with no one to help . We can face death. We need to rescue people from traps they can’t get free from.

Brendan opened the cover and there was a timid young chick! I reached down and held it. It had no strength to fly out of my hands. A little bird came to the very room where Elizabeth plays her piano to worship God.

We released it onto the roof again . Seagulls gathered overhead when they saw the young bird! It was lost but now was found.

Gull Builds its Nest in our Chimney

As I write I hear the whistling of birds from a nest in my chimney. The sound is from young gulls. These birds normally build their nests on cliff edges safe from intruders.

I have just published a book called, Look at the Birds. Today I have the opportunity to observe the life of a seagull close by. There are no cliffs. Instead this bird has built a nest in our chimney and at least two eggs have hatched.

I was working outside in the alleyway enjoying the warm weather. A gull was upset with me and dived overhead in my direction calling as it flew overhead. Whenever Brendan or I go outside this gull gets upset and flys around us. Why was it attacking us. Haven’t I written a book about how I enjoy bird watching?

I did some research about gulls. A mother sea gull fiercely defends its young. There must be young in the nest above our house!

The gull gets more aggressive every day. As Brendan was getting something from his car it dive bombed him and deposited mess all over his tee shirt.

All has been revealed. Two young birds can be seen moving near the nest on my chimney. One of the chicks moves across the roof. This mother has been defending her brood.

My neighbour who has lived in Haypark all her life has never heard of gulls nesting here before.

I encouraged Brendan. Let us not be annoyed. We are blessed that the gull has chosen our chimney to nest in. Doesn’t the scripture say the birds find a nest near your altar where they can read their young. Psalm 84 v 3.

See mother and chick in the photo.

All God’s Bible Dreams

I am reading my husband Brendan’s book ,
All God’s Bible Dreams.
It is for sale on Kindle and a hard copy on Amazon.
For anyone interested in dreams it is a must have book. Peter and Joel in the bible said I will pour out my Spirit on all people.

Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
Even on my servants, both men and women,

These are days when God is speaking to people through dreams. If you dream a dream don’t ignore it. God may be getting your attention.

Brendan’s book has revelations that help one understand the Bible, the importance of the Jewish people, the importance of dreams and how the dreams in the Old Testament helped to preserve a people who could receive Jesus.

Brendan spent three years writing and was told in a dream to write it. This book is full of treasure. The chapter on Sleep and Dreams is very valuable in itself. It is just one chapter of many. Each chapter can stand alone with information.

I am reading Brendan’s book on Kindle. I can scroll through the chapters easily, day or night, flying in an aeroplane, or waiting for someone.

God is not dead. No He is alive and wants to talk to each one of us. He loves us and does not want anyone to perish. Here is a link to the book.

Gurus

Gurus

April has just ended and with it our tulip blossoms fell to the ground. They faded away. They put on a beautiful display for the past six weeks.

Nowadays we have access to information more than ever before. The Church, the library, the newspaper or museum used to be places where we found information.

Now we have television, radio, I player, podcasts, utube, twitter, instagram and Facebook to choose from and they can be used twenty four hours a day. I haven’t time to take it all in.

The individual has so many choices to make about what he believes. He can follow someone on utube who is giving his slant on world affairs. Many such speakers have a following of young men and women who are looking for meaning in this confused world or someone to agree with. Such leaders become Gurus to their followers. These young people will often spend a lot of money to go and see their hero.

They don’t know the truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. His words have power and stand forever. From generation He guides those who follow and believe in him. He does not lie.

If you are seeking the truth with all your heart you will end up finding Jesus. You may spend many years following this person or another. Man will fail you.

1 Peter 1: 24 says

All men are like grass and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall but the Word of the Lord stands forever.

Doubting Thomas

When the doctor examined me he found a nine cm tumour in my bowel. There is a team of cancer medical staff who decide what is the best treatment for a patient. They decided to give me five weeks of chemotherapy and radiotherapy to reduce the tumour. Then they would operate to remove the tumour and cut away part of my bowel and insert a stoma to remove waste.

I was invited to the hospital to talk about my operation. The kind nurses showed me how to use a stoma, and tried to reassure me that many people adapt to using a stoma. I was not convinced. I didn’t want an operation to open me up and leave me with a hole there. I thought back to the story of Thomas in the bible.

Jesus had been crucified and His followers were afraid the Romans would come looking for them. They were hiding in an upper room. Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”

But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”

I believe the words of scripture that says By his stripes I am healed. Isaiah 53. Jesus had a wound in His side big enough for a man’s hand to fit in. He died on the cross to heal my disease.

I prayed Lord Jesus you were pierced for my transgression. A soldier opened up your side with his sword and water gushed out. You took my pain and disease so I can be healed and not have an operation to open up my side. I received faith to believe I would be healed and not need an operation.

Four months later a doctor examined me. The tumour was gone and I didn’t need an operation. Praise God. Like the woman who had an issue of blood and touched Jesus I was healed by the power of God. You too can be healed by believing in Jesus like Thomas.

You may not see Jesus but blessed are you who believe yet have not seen.

Cancer Cells Mutate

I was watching two programmes about people who had cancer here in the UK. One was about Dame Deborah James. She fought cancer with the help of the latest treatment, drugs, the love of her family and doing things that brought her joy. She campaigned for five years before her death advocating for others to get tested early for cancer. She set up a fund to raise money to help patients with cancer. It raised one million in the first twenty four hours. She was courageous to the end.

The other programme was about research using Car T-cell treatment. Dr Martin leads the research and speaks in his programme , War in the blood, a cure for cancer. The treatment helped his patients initially using the patients own blood cells that attack disease in the blood. But the cancer cells mutated. The patients’ new cells became ineffective.

All the families involved shared their journey on camera, their hopes, fears and sadness.

I am so grateful to be alive after having fourth stage bowel cancer. The doctors and nursing staff treated me with tender love and care each time I attended hospital. They knew what I faced in having cancer.

My family and others prayed for me. I believe that Jesus heals today. In the past before the development of science to treat diseases, people who were sick went to church for prayer. Scripture says call the elders. They will anoint you with oil and you will be healed.

James 5 v 14
Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

These words are not my own. These words are inspired by the Holy Spirit to tell people the truth. Jesus is the way, truth and the life. God is not dead. He does not change. He is the same God yesterday and forever. His word gives us guidelines how to live. The prayers of others healed me.

Seek Him and you will find Him. The God who healed me created the heavens and the earth. I include a photo taken of a display of beauty over Alaska taken by Todd Sinard.
