Back in July 2021 I got a phone call from a Slovakia lady who is married to an Irish man and lives in Southern Ireland. She heard about my healing book Staying Alive translated in Slovakian. Her friend back home read it. This friend asked my daughter in law for my contact number.
The book Staying Alive tells of my journey to being healed from fourth stage cancer through faith in Jesus. I believe Jesus heals today. When Jesus was on earth He healed all diseases and cast out demons. He told his followers to do the same.
This lady asked me to pray for her son of fifteen months, who was born with a hole in his heart. He didn’t sleep well and suffered from fits. She was weary and in distress. I prayed for her son over the phone that he would be healed in Jesus name. I promised to send her a copy of my book Staying Alive.
In my book she read about my daughters doing a twenty one day partial fast for me. She started a twenty one day fast for her son’s healing after reading my book.
Two months on I got a text from her. She took her son to an appointment with her doctor. He had recommended that her son would need an operation on his heart to repair it.
The doctor examined the child. To his surprise he saw that the hole in the child’s heart was gone and his heart was working normally. The mum and dad are overjoyed. Their child will not need an operation.
Here is a copy of her text,
Hi last Friday Patrick had check-up his heart and we have great news: a Hole in his heart is close and is working perfectly.Patrick dosn’t need a surgery.God is amazing and the best our FATHER!ALLELUJAThanks a million for your prayers and have a good day.
This is a testimony of the power of Jesus to heal today.
You can buy a copy of my book from Etsy.com or Books.ie. Type in Staying Alive Angela Mc Cauley. Also from Kindle.
I was reading this morning from Luke 10 v 11You fathers if your children ask for a fish will you give him a snake. Of course not. If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?
Many young boys and fathers love football. They have their favourite team. They watch matches and cheer when they win. Their dream is to get to play for a famous team.
There is a big difference in experience from watching football on TV in the comfort of your home to actually playing the game. My sons loved football and played with their school and local team.
It meant staying after school and turning up for training sessions in all kind of weather. It meant getting a few disappointments when they didn’t win. It meant sore muscles and bruises. But if they endured they got to play football in the team and experience the success when they won.
Today is Easter Sunday. We hear stories about Jesus who rose from the dead two thousand years ago. But what relevance is that to us today in 2021?
If you want to be a partaker in knowing more about this man Jesus one needs to engage with his game. We can look on and enjoy Easter ceremonies with smells and bells of Church activity but it may not mean much.
This man Jesus left us his legacy which you can read for yourself in the New Testament. If you believe what he says you can ask him to reveal himself to you personally. He will answer if you keep on asking.
Then you may believe that Jesus died for you to forgive your sins and he can heal you. You are a step closer to playing on Jesus team.
Today we remember Jesus rising from the grave. He then went to heaven. The Father released the Holy Spirit as Jesus asked Him. The Holy Spirit is given to us for us to get to play the Jesus game.
The Holy Spirit will give us the power to defeat the other team, the devil’s. We are sure to win all the time when we engage to fight the enemy.
Keep training by reading God’s Word, Ask God to give you His Holy Spirit. Keep on asking till you receive. Then use your gift of Tongues to pray. Satan runs when you pray in the Holy Spirit. God will give you understanding of the scriptures and He will speak to you through His Word. He also speaks through dreams and prophecy.
Do you want victory? Do you want your desires met? Then engage in the play. Do you want life to pass you by from year to year without good changes? Jesus promises to give you life abundantly.
He has defeated Satan who comes to rob, steal and destroy. Jesus defeated Satan when He died on that cross. His Blood flowed down from his head, his back, his hands and his feet. By his stripes you are healed,
I sought out Jesus forty three years ago. I have kept on seeking him in my life. He is true. He is good. He is faithful. He will help you win your battles in this world. You will never be alone again.
It was Easter Monday eleven years ago that I went to the local hospital’s Accident and Emergency. I wasn’t feeling well. On examination the doctor suspected cancer in my bowel. It was confirmed weeks later after tests and scans that I had a nine inch cancer tumour in my bowel. It was beginning to invade the walls of my bowel and spread locally.
The panel of cancer specialists suggested a course of treatment to reduce the tumour in preparation for an operation to remove the cancerous area. I started five weeks of chemotherapy and five weeks of the maximum dose of radiotherapy. When the treatment was completed I had no side effects from the treatment; no hair lose, no burning of my skin or internal organs where the radiotherapy was targeted. Six weeks later the doctor called me to arrange surgery to remove the cancerous tumour.
Many people were praying for me since I was diagnosed with cancer, my husband , family and friends. I believe I was healed after prayer. I felt like the woman who touched the hem of Jesus garment and was healed of an issue of blood. She felt better immediately.
I told the doctor I believed I was healed. My husband agreed. The doctor thought I was crazy. This had never happened before in his thirty years experience. A colonoscopy was arranged. The camera showed there was no tumour in my bowel. The lining of my bowel was as clear as a baby’s skin.
I remain healed and alive after eleven years. I have not taken any medication since. I believe the cancer will not come back. My husband and I have written a book, Staying Alive, detailing my healing. It is available to purchase on BOOKS.IE It is not within my own power or effort that I am alive. It is through the power of God that I am healed and alive.
This weekend we celebrate Easter. Everyone is glad to have holidays off school and work. But do we really know the meaning of Easter?
Nearly two thousand years ago Jesus was born. He was the Son of God yet he came on earth and was born to Mary. He grew up in his Jewish family and lived like any other child in the rough and tumble of family life.
At the age of thirty he started his ministry. People came to him to be healed of diseases and he healed them all. He cast out demons that were troubling many. He delivered the demoniac who was living among tombs, of two thousand demons.
Jesus chose twelve disciples and taught them to do what he was doing. He gave them power to heal the sick and cast out demons. He even told his followers to do the same in Mark 16. Jesus gives us the same power today to heal others and cast out demons. The religious leaders and kings of the day did not like what Jesus was doing. He was a threat to them. They planned to execute Jesus by crucifiction.
We remember this week, Holy Week in many parts of the world, those sad days long ago when Jesus was betrayed, accused, scourged and crucified. Blood flowed down his head his hands and feet and side. The blood which flowed was shed for us to forgive our sins and to heal our diseases. They thought they got rid of their trouble maker. But no. Jesus rose from the grave. He appeared to his disciples and then went to heaven.
I believe in Jesus. I believe he shed his blood to heal me and forgive my sins. Isaiah 53 says He was bruised for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquity and by his stripes we are healed. I know the power of the Blood of Jesus that healed me in 2010. He continues to help me and keep me alive to testify to his power to heal. 2021 years on Jesus still heals.
Take time this week to seek the true meaning of the feast of Easter. Enquire, search and seek. I did so forty odd years ago. I know Jesus is true. I know his power in my life. Not only does God promise to forgive us and heal us, he promises to take us to heaven when we die if we continue to believe in him.
Jesus when he was on earth taught about hell. There is an after life where all men will be judged. Those who follow Jesus will go to heaven and others will go to hell which was prepared for the devil and his demons. Chose eternal life today. Believe in Jesus the Son of God.
Dare to believe in Jesus. Ask him for His help. He will surely answer.
I was listening to a programme on BBC 4 radio this week. It was reporting on events in Ecqador during the Covid 19.
One lady was interviewed. Her husband contacted the virus and died in a few days. She rang the authotrities in her country to come and take away her husband’s body. Only after five days was his decaying body removed. The lady contacted the disease as well but survived. She had two young sons.
Many families suffered like she did. Dead bodies were left lying on the streets for days. The hospitals and normal services were not prepared for the death of so many people.
It is easy to complain about past and present wrongs in our country. I am so thankful after listening to that programme. I am so grateful for the services we are blessed with here in Northern Ireland. These services were put in place by people who believed God in generations past and wanted to help their fellow man. First of all I thank God for the people in our country who believe in God. God has preserved us from sickness and healed many who contacted the disease. Our local minister was told to prepare for many deaths from Covid. There were not any deaths from Covid in our town.
I am thankful for the Health Service, the many men and women who worked in the hospitals. I am thankful for the politicians who had to make difficult decisions in the crisis. I am thankful for the people in our families, villages and towns who supported each other through their fears. I am thankful for the people who know their God and intercede for others.
Let us keep alert and keep praying. God my Heavenly Father delivered me from death from cancer ten years ago through the prayers of many. I believe Jesus heals today. I want to tell others that Jesus will heal our diseases and even prevent us from getting sick. This is good news. Let us pray for workers in the harvest to go to those countries that don’t know of God’s love and care through Jesus sacrifice for us on the cross. The Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin and sickness.
One of the chapters of my new book says, The Christian life is not a bed of roses. The early Christians were throw to lions and Jesus learned obedience to the Father through the things he suffered. He died a horrible death on the cross. On Facebook and What’s App people want to share all the fun times in their lives. I don’t read much about their suffering or other difficulties. When one who is depressed or in difficulty reads about the happy times others are having, he may think what is wrong with me? I don’t have the money or ability to do what they are doing. So his life becomes more unbearable and he goes deeper into the pit. I remember friends of mine who were widows with four to five children. When they went to Church, they felt rejected. They didn’t have a husband, their clothes weren’t as pretty as the good living Christians. No one talked to them as others who knew each other stood in groups talking. Not surprising they didn’t go back to church. When I was getting my six or ten children ready for Church there was fighting or bickering. When we got to Church we had to pretend all was okay and smile. Underneath all the facade I was hurting and felt no one understood me. I thought what is wrong with me. I must be a terrible sinner. Everyone else is happy. It seemed to me if your life was not all fun you were a bad Christian . One feels condemned and not good enough to come to God or to Church. I cannot live up to others expectations of me. I didn’t know that God loved me and was with me in my battles and was helping me through them. One day a speaker talked about marriage. He said according to the scriptures those who are married will have more trouble than those who are single. This resonated with me. So friends on Facebook or What’s App don’t be surprised that I don’t respond always to the happy clappy times. If you share your difficulties I will respond. Please get to know what is going on in other peoples lives, especially family, the good and the bad. Then one can empathise or even pray with others.
The tide is high No room to wade on the shoreline The water is lapping against the wall I’m safe here on the ledge My favourite spot Jutting out of the water I’ll wait And keep warm With my neck Sunk between my shoulder blades I’ll wait Till the water recedes I’ll wait To dart at some tiny fish Lingering in the shallows I know their hiding places I’m too old To fly from my perch To find another spot I’ll leave Those fishing grounds To the younger ones. I’ll wait
